Jennifer Foley, MFTPlant your seeds now so that you can reap the benefits of enjoying your garden and feeling better soon.

Hi, and welcome to my psychotherapy practice! I offer counseling therapy for insomnia, depression, anxiety, and chronic pain. I enjoy helping people feel better. I look forward to meeting you!

Are you ready to feel good?

Feeling better can be simple. Whether you are feeling unmotivated, lonely, tired, anxious or depressed, or are experiencing sleep problems, counseling can help. Benefits may be felt even after just one session.

Options that work for your lifestyle.

I offer your choice of outdoor meetings sessions, walk and talk sessions or zoom sessions right from the comfort of your own home.

Walking and talking works.

Numerous benefits on mood and problem solving are obtained through movement and being outside. Even just being outdoors in nature decreases blood pressure in 10 minutes. Combining exercise such as walking or yoga with talk therapy at the same time works synergistically for an improved outcome – you will feel better sooner!

It’s easy to get started.

Call me at 707-861-1030 or email jennifer@jenniferfoley.org, about how you can start feeling better today. There is no charge for the initial phone consultation.

Practice Area: Sleep Disorders and Insomnia — CBT-I
Featuring CBT-I, a groundbreaking Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia.
Are you having trouble sleeping through the night? Having a hard time falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up too early? Do you wake up feeling unrefreshed? Are you finding it hard to accomplish daily tasks?Chronic insomnia is experiencing sleep disturbances at least three times a week for six months or more. Chronic insomnia often occurs with other conditions such as depression, anxiety, and chronic pain. Often, when the sleep condition is treated, the mood, pain and anxiety symptoms also improve.
Sleep is the balm to our every functioning in life. Sleep increases our immune system, improves mental focus, heals emotions and physical pain, decreases stress and improves mood, decreases anxiety, solidifies memories, gives you energy and helps you to feel good.
It is common to have insomnia. Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia, CBT-I, is an effective, evidence based therapy that works. CBT-I is now recommended as first line treatment, before sleeping medications, by the American College of Physicians (ACP). It is a short term, structured program that helps you overcome the root causes of your sleep challenges. CBT-I will help you make lasting changes in your sleep quality so that you can feel better.

Practice Area: Depression
Are you feeling unmotivated, low energy, having the sense that tasks are harder to do, not sleeping well, feeling inadequate, having difficulty enjoying the things you previously enjoyed doing, having a harder time making decisions or concentrating? Have you lost or gained weight recently unintentionally? These are all common signs of depression. Counseling can help.

Practice Area: Anxiety
Signs that you have anxiety include:
Worry that is taking up a considerable amount of time, finding it difficult to stop worrying, and the worry is correlated with physical tension symptoms such as headache, upset stomach, feeling irritable, concentration and sleep problems. Counseling can help.

Practice Area: Chronic illness
Do you have a chronic illness such as diabetes, chronic fatigue, arthritis, physical limitations, chronic pain, Alzheimers disease or others? Are you the caregiver for someone with chronic illness? If you are experiencing difficulty coping because of these chronic conditions, counseling may be able to help you find some solutions, with practical tools and coping techniques to more effectively deal with daily living with more ease.

Practice Area: Yoga
Jennifer provides yoga therapy for individuals who would like to feel better from practicing yoga while talking through emotional concerns. The body holds tensions from physical and emotional stressors. Yoga is an effective mind and body health practice. By combining counseling with the yoga practice, the benefits of feeling better are accelerated.
